Luca AI is a voice companion. The developer does not run a server that stores your conversations. This policy describes what stays on your device and what is sent to Google when you talk with Luca.
That data is not uploaded to a server operated by the Luca developer. Journal notes can be encrypted on the device when that feature is available. You can delete memory and notes inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes the data stored on that device.
While a voice session is active, microphone audio and the conversation context needed for a reply are sent to Google LLC’s Gemini API so Luca can answer out loud. The Luca developer does not keep a copy of that audio.
Google processes that data under the Gemini API terms and the Google Privacy Policy. The internal test build includes a Gemini API key inside the app, so testers do not enter a key. Voice requests in that build are processed through the developer’s Google project, and usage is visible in that project.
If you enter your own API key, the key stays on your device and voice requests are processed with that key.
Luca AI does not ask for an account, name, email address, or phone number. The app does not access location, contacts, photos, or an advertising ID. There are no ads, and data is not sold.
If you open a music link inside the app, the destination site receives an ordinary browser visit. That happens only when you choose the link.
Luca AI is not directed at children.
Luca AI is not a doctor, therapist, or emergency service. Do not use it as a substitute for professional help.
